Warner Springs Ranch

Located in Northern San Diego County - 38 miles on Hwy 79 South from I-15 at Temecula; 15 miles North on Hwy 79 off of Hwy 78 from Santa Ysabel. [Photo(s)]

Warner Springs Ranch is remote, have no doubt about it. However, that is a very attractive reason for playing golf there. Additionally, Hwy 79 South from Temecula, is a two lane highway with a posted speed limit of 55 mph. It is inevitable that you will encounter traffic that does not know what the speed limit is, or does not care, either way allow plenty of time for travel to the course. We teed off on time, no wait, it was truly amazing! The speed of play was exceptional, again, no waiting on the tee boxes, or was anyone breathing down our neck. The fairways were well manicured, and as in most games of golf, the roughs were to be avoided. There were adequate water and sand hazards. Should you hit a ball out-of-bounds, just play another. You might find someone else's ball, however I do not believe that you will find your own!

Which brings me to my last major observation - Scenery - Magnificent to say the least! When or where was the last golf course that you played that did not have housing surrounding it in it's entirety? Once you start playing, you leave civilization not to return until the 9th and 18th holes. Beautiful wild flora and animal life galore! This is golfing at it's best!

The following are observations that may be of interest to you:

Staff: Excellent - very accommodating.

Marshall: Very Pleasant.

Driving Range: Served it's purpose.

Putting Green: Well kept, plenty of practice holes.

Speed of Play: No Waiting, Repeat: NO WAITING!

Equipment:

Carts: Good shape, stocked with card, tees and power!

Soft Spikes: Required.

Refreshments:

On the Course: Only water fountains.

In Clubhouse: Fast service and tasty!
